We have been getting a lot of requests at work from people that want to 3D print their fully populated revit models.
Unfortunately when imported into Rhino they are “hollow” i.e. they have all the cavities between walls and for rooms and what not.
Can anyone think of a way to just convert that to a solid lump of geometry that just follows the envelope?
I have tried creating a sphere/box that envelopes it then doing a boolean difference but no luck.
Any help would be much appreciated, I did attempt the same thing in grasshopper with a bounding box but was also unsuccessful.
