Load on a plane or surface

For the simulation we need to apply a force on a plane/surface.
Is it possible to create a plane and exert a force which collides with the data points.
When using the load on a surface it gives an error in the solver.
When wondering why not apply a load to the endpoints of the structure; they will flip in the structure which isn’t wanted.
